My vehicle stalled and stopped less than a mile from the shop. I almost end in a bad accident in IH 35, my question is they even test the cars before returns to the customers. Our trust was broken as we were assured the vehicle was safe to drive and the check engine light that turned on prior to leaving would not impact the driving. it will take time to rebuild trust with this business if we were to return.
I reviewed your vehicle complaint on your girlfriends Toyota Tundra, and it was for a no crank, no start condition. You stated that you thought it needed an alternator. We found both battery terminal connectors broken. When we replaced the terminal ends the engine cranked and started multiple times. We only tested for the complaint you expressed. We don't test drive vehicle unless a customer expresses a drivability concern for liability issues. We did notice that your check engine light was on for an unrelated concern that we explained to you in person. You said you couldn't fix that problem right now, and we assured you that it wasn't unsafe to drive with that issue. When you got home you called to inform us of a third issue. We apologized and agreed to look at this new concern. After a long discussion with you on the phone we were under the impression that you were satisfied with our explanation, but apparently not. Vehicles with over 140,000 miles and 10 years of age are prone to having multiple issues. As small business owners, my family takes pride in our small, local, independent shop. It pains us to see that someone feels that a 1 star review is warranted, but we truly did the best we could to resolve your complaint. We strive everyday to do the best we can to repair vehicles. We don't expect to be portrayed as a business that didn't do all we could to resolve your issue.
